I have been using Saniclean for years and although you use more per 5 Gal - it is well worth it. Foaming was not an issue and goes away quick. I bought Star San because I could not get Saniclean at my local shop. (Sorry More Beer I was in a pinch and would have ordered it on this site) I found with Star San - not only does it create more foam but it stays around - and also seems to leave a residue which IDK if it effected the taste yet - but that bothers me that it leaves a film. Even if you lower the ratio of Star San it still leaves a residue. I am sticking with Saniclean.

This is a great sanitizer and does not have the annoying foam that never seems to go away.

This is my go to sanitizer on brew day. Low foaming and reliable. Have not had any contamination since i started using this product.

I am a big fan of Star San but love the low foaming quality of Saniclean. Although I don't fear the foam the visual never sat well with me so this low foam alternative is brilliant. Mix up with RO water and it will last for quite awhile which is always helpful when you need just bit of sanitizer and don't want to make up a whole batch. I keep mine in a corny keg.

I like to alternate between using Saniclean and iodophore to keep the bugs from getting used to one or the other. Iodophore is more effective against mold and wild yeast spores but is also harder on equipment. Both will keep for several days after you mix them...with Saniclean it is a good idea to periodically check the pH to make sure it is low enough for effective sanitation.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to do: sanitize with little foam. Makes cleaning my CFC and my gear easier!

Great product for sanitizing your corny kegs or beer lines. Low to none foam. I always keep one of these as well as Star-San in my basic equipment.

I use the IO Star Sanitizer for all my low foam needs like while bottling if I let them soak for a while but most importantly while I use it in my Keg and Carboy Washer! Star San Foams to much in the washer so the IO is a perfect solutions for sanitizing kegs and carboys in the washer. The IO Star Sanitizer has always worked and never failed even back in the day when I used it for everything but recently have switch to using Star San Sanitizer for most of my other sanitizing needs now.

Use for when you need low foam or something different to kill the bugs immune to other sanitizers.

Star-San doesn't work at all in your typical cheap bottle sterilizing fixture on a drying tree because of the foaming. Sani-Clean still foams in this application but it works and doesn't leave the bottles as filled with foam either. Same with carboys when I drain them. I *know* that the foam shouldn't hurt anything but... I still prefer not to have it. The only downside to it is that using a higher concentration than Star-San means it costs more (about 2x) per use but the amount isn't a deal-breaker for me.

I love Star San but tend to use Saniclean even more often. Although Star San foam is not an issue when left in a carboy or keg no foam (or almost none) is even better and the increased contact time is negligible. Also great for rinsing kegerator lines.

I used Star San for my sanitizing needs but wanted to sanitize my kegs and carboys without getting all the foam. This works perfectly for that.

Does what it says. A better alternative than StarSan because it foams LESS. It does foam if agitated enough but it foams much less than StarSan. It requires slightly more contact time than StarSan.

I like it for the low foam and it is less irritating to my hands then Star San but it does need longer contact time and evaporates quicker out of solution in hotter water. Easy on pumps and easier to use on the Keg cleaner.

A critical must have in the home brewery. Works quite well and is very easy to use.

Sometimes you can't have foam and this is a great sanitizer in those situations. I always keep plenty of this StarSan and PBW around. All necessary for brewing far as I'm concerned.

This is my go-to sanitizer. I use it regular for most everything I have that needs to be santized. Low foam is particularly good for my pumps and it will drain from vessels quickly.

I love to use this when I'm not looking for the foam factor. It's a great item to have in my spray bottle for brew day needs!

This stuff works as good as star san but does not foam. Run it through by brew stand before each brewing session love it.

This does foam up a bit but it really isn't a problem. I have used it religiously for sanitizing and have had no apparent contamination issues. Also the design of the bottle is really cool and it is dead easy to measure. Go for the larger bottle to save money it will last you for quite awhile but you really don't want to run out of sanitizer do you?

It doesn't seem to do well on stubborn crud even if you let the pump run for a while. It's hared to beat warm water and Oxyclean. Too much Saniclean will foam so be stingy with it.

I love how easy it dispenses compared to star san I use it for everything around my brew house. It works especially good for sanitizing bottles with out ending up with all that foam on the floor that the beer pushes out.

Takes a bit longer to sanitize vs. starsan but necessary if using a pump for clean in place system.

Saniclean works from a no foam perspective but does have an odd funky smell if I leave it in contact with my equipment for too long. When this happens I find spraying it with Star San seems to remove it.

If you use a pump to transfer sanitizer saniclean is for you. Works as good as starsan. Better than iodophor sanitizer because clean up is easy if you spill it.

I tried using Star San in the keg I built in a 5 gallon bucket but even if I only mixed up 1 gallon of Star San it would overflow with foam before I could finish sanitize one keg. Enter Saniclean. It's chemically similar to Star San but doesn't foam up nearly as much. There was some foaming but not enough to be an issue at all. One thing to keep in mind Saniclean calls for 2 oz/5 gallon batch as opposed to the 1oz for Star San.
