Aluminum tanks are superior to steel because they do not rust. All tanks are shipped empty. To have tanks filled you will want to visit your local welding supply shop. Because you are purchasing a new tank you can choose to either have it filled or to exchange it for a filled tank at your local gas supplier. If you have this tank filled the local gas supplier is responsible for affixing the correct neck label that identifies the gas being put in the cylinder.

Tanks should always be stored in an upright position.

Will dispense approximately 18 five gallon homebrew kegs before needing to be refilled.

I took it to the local CO2 supplier on Monday and they have questions on if they can fill it. I think the "China" stamp on the bottle seemed to rattle their cages a little bit. Hopefully they will call me and let me know it IS filled. It takes a 7-10 days where I'm at to get them filled where I'm at so We'll see.

tank seems robust though sharp edges remain on the valve assembly -- watch your fingers there and file the edges smooth. Something for the team to look into perhaps? Customer service has been stellar.

Great quality tank with DOT stamp

Arrived with a broken knob but MoreBeer customer service shipped a new one immediately so no complaints there! Seems like as often as that happens they should cap them or remove the knob? I dunno. The MADE IN CHINA is stamped in big letters on the top and the local gas shop gave it a good eyeballing before the CO2 fill but they didn't offer any push-back or complaints because of the DOT stamp it was all good. Thanks MoreBeer and Lizzy with Customer Service!

It is made in China. It is DOT certified. I purchased mine in mid-2021 with a manufacture date of 06/2020. No issues filling it at my local welding shop with beverage-grade gas.

Probably not! But it doesn’t need to be. I’d worry more about the quality of CO2 you push out of it. Make sure it is food grade!

No there is no dip tube in this type of CO2 tank. You don't want liquid to get into your regulator.
