This Duotight fitting with 1/2" male thread is perfect for attaching to the Copper Counterflow Chiller (WC130) and using with 1/2" female threaded Camlock and QD fittings. Compatible with EVABarrier 9.5 mm OD tubing (D1719).

Duotight offers superior quality when compared to other push-in fittings. Their double EPDM O-ring design provides a more complete and reliable seal, protecting against leaks even when tubing is bent around tight corners. They are suitable for both beverage and gas applications, and are pressure rated to 100 psi. Tubing can be released by simply pushing in the collet and pulling the line out. No need for clamps or cutting lines!

Features:
  • Insert tubing and firmly push to connect
  • Easily release tubing by pushing in the collet
  • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
  • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
  • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
  • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
  • Pressure rated to 150 psi
  • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)

Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

Works exactly as needed

I have this screwed into my submersible pump in my glycol chiller and have no issues with pumping through the hose attached to it.

The video shows Duotight on a taprite regulator. What size do I need? I assume this replaces the barbed fitting? Or can Duotight work with the barb on the regulator?

Hello I recently purchased these for my counterflow chiller and I am fitting a 1/2" female NPT stainless steel quick disconnects to the BSP threaded end. The issue is I am getting leaks at this connection no matter how much Teflon tape I add. Are there any gaskets or fittings you could suggest that would solve this issue? Thanks

Alexander sorry about the leaks - many of us have been there. I have used these push in fittings for years on counter flow and plate chillers with excellent success. Leaking needs some tweaking. I’m assuming the leaks are around BPT threads only? Do not use gasket or o-ring here it’ll leak more. You may need another wrap or two of Teflon tape. It’ll tighten with more force required so don’t over tighten. Run water through it at steady flow and slowly tighten until it stops. I had to do this a few times after periodic cleaning but never an issue. Let us know if that doesn’t solve the problem.

The H928 and H920 o-rings are probably your safest bet. A couple metal washers on the duotight side can help take up any extra space and evenly distribute pressure around the o-rings.

Can you measure the outer diameter of the threads? Thank you

MoreCoffee!

Mine fittings all have attachments so I cannot measure them but I have them connected to Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect - Male QD x 1/2 in. FPT with no problems.

MoreCoffee!

They are standard 1/2" BSP and compatible with 1/2" NPT. Thread diameter per specifications is 0.825 inch.

I get 0.8 inches measured with a micrometer.

Hi Colin we can't measure the threads with enough precision to give you a detailed answer however this is a 1/2'' BSPP fitting which would be designed to fit other 1/2'' BSPP fittings.
