I had some new Perlick faucets that wouldn't stay closed on the no name tap tower I had. They wouldn't tighten up enough to stay closed with the heavy tap handles. if you weren't careful a tap would open slightly and make a mess. These springs worked like a charm even though im not using NukaTaps.
After someone accidently bumped one of my tap handles and dispensed 5 gallons of beer on the floor these seemed like a no brainer. Enough tension to close the taps even with somewhat heavy tap handles installed.
It has been a few weeks now since I’ve been enjoying the stainless steel Nukataps. I like their versatility with being able to switch out spouts and that they’re forward sealing. Easy to install the four taps and springs on my two kegerators.
I got four of these. The springs work on some taps but stick open on others.
It works most of the time what I mean with this is that when it is very cold (as beer should be) it stops working it does not push back with enough streng to close it all the way
Works as expected and I need to write more that to submit so it works as expected
They fit my Intertap taps perfectly and close the taps perfectly when the handle is let go. No more worries about the taps getting bumped open. Best investment ever...
After installing these ideal ss springs inside your tap faucets you will know immediately that you made the right decision. Safeguard your brew from being dispensed by heavy tap handles and guests who unknowingly may not return the handle completely to the closed position.
The addition of this spring to each of my Intertap faucets works brilliantly to ensure proper closure and maintenence of the closed state. If there is any concern for an accidental opening I highly recommend the use of this product.
One of my biggest fears is I wake up and there are gallons of beer on the floor because the tap got bumped or a leak or whatever. For $2 and a 10 min install this spring is a no brainer. I installed one in each of my Perlick taps. Works perfectly!
No more drips or accidentally open faucets
Great. Works with nukatap.
Thought this would work on my chrome taps but it does not. womp womp.
Works great. Cheap insurance against accidental tap opening.
Work great the rest of this is because I need 20 characters for this review
A must have if you buy the kumos kegerator
Works with my standard shanks. So glad I bought these. A small additional effort in installing the taps after cleaning but well well worth it.
Excellent service. Everything as expected.
Ok so I bought new Intertap faucets connected everything to Duotight system and the faucet started to drip at the faucet handle area. Turns out I had the spring in backwards. The narrow end is placed forward (towards the faucet outlet). After that everything works perfectly.
Very well worth the price to save beer from pouring out it tap is bumped
Works just like it is supposed to. No need to worry about not putting the tap handle all the way back. Especially if you have heavier tap handles.
Fit and works perfectly
Glad I got this it makes my tap feel so much more secure. I have a normal 3-tap tower and it fits perfectly.
The spring functioned as intended. I found that it worked with my perlick faucet with an intertap shank. It did not fit in another shank I have but then again it wasn't advertised to.
Needs a "special" shank? Mine does not fit the spring in the correct orientation so I had to flip it to get it to install. Check before you buy.
Intertap faucets are the best and this spring makes sure you don't accidentally leave the faucet open wasting beer and making a mess.
Super easy to install and work great. Love that the taps won’t get bumped and stay open.
I like being able to add this safety feature to my taps to prevent leaks and accidentally knocking open taps by friends and family. I did not replace the shanks so it is tight but it is working right now.
I've been home brewing and kegging beer for almost 15 years and I just stumbled on these little gems about a month ago. I installed a spring in each of my Perlick and Intertap faucets and I LOVE it. I'll never go back to un-sprung tap handles. Helps cut down on the mess when friends and family come over and use the kegerator and prevents spilled beer when hooking up a keg and forgetting the tap is open. Highly recommended!
I have a 9 tap system at home. I installed these springs because I occasionally reach past the taps and sometimes accidentally hit a tap on the way out. Then I scramble to shut off the tap. So they are great for that. However I often fill a growler to take with me. It's not a big deal but you have to hold the tap open while filling. Another confusing thing was which way to install them. I found that you put the large side of the spring into the tap. Small end into the shank when installing on Intertap. Bottom line for me? I like them
Got a spring and I am so glad that i did. I love how it works and auto closes the faucet.
If you have an Intertap faucet you have to get the spring. Avoids potential spills by amateur bartenders.
Will this spring work in the UltraTap to self close the faucet?
