These quick disconnects feature 1/4" barbed fittings which can be used with either 3/16", 1/4" or 5/16" line. The quick disconnect functionality is activated by a shrouded thumb latch. The temperature range is -40F to 180F. They can handle a vacuum to 120 psi - so you need not worry about them leaking gas. Works Ok

I bought this to connect to my sparger wand. Note: the 1/4 in make barb on this is a really loose fit onto the 5/16 tubing. I had to really tighten the hose clamp to get it to be a snug fit and even then I am not sure I had a good seal as I went through a 20 cu ft tank in 2 uses. I ended up eliminating the quick couple by getting a connector with a 5/16 barb on both ends and connecting the sparger wand (after removing the female receiving end) straight to the gas line. Less worry and I have a tight seal with fewer pieces.

2 broken so far

I love this things but they are pricey an not that durable. I have had 2 break one was a barb and the second was the structure in the front.

Fast and easy

I only use these connectors for CO2 and they are fast easy and give a positive seal.

One of the best ways to manage your CO2 or any gas line

Makes a snap of rapid disconnection from CO2 or O2 with yeast wand. Always have some extra on hand. I note that many wineries use the same for their Argon

Very useful for CO2

I don't use these for liquid but find them great for CO2. When I keg it's easy to connect a line to flush out the air. If I was doing it again I'd take a look at the Kent style but these work fine.

Great for fluid or gas

Really allows for easier storage on wort chiller or CO2 tanks.

Great for swapping out gas lines

I really like these. I use them to quickly swap gas lines for my kegs and Beer Gun. Also allows me to have a separate line outside the fridge for gas purging during transfers. (I keep my CO2 tank outside the fridge) Quick connection no leaks.

Works well tough.

They are worth the money! Makes switching lines and using the counter pressure filler a breeze.

Has anyone used these with the Ultra Barrier 5/16" gas tubing? The description states that 5/16" line will work but I've read conflicting accounts online. I haven't seen anything specifically mentioning the Ultra Barrier in use with these quick connects.
