Chrome plated brass shank comes with a back nut, plastic collar, and a welded 3/16" nipple. Requires a 1" hole saw for installation. Due to the length of the back nut and collar, the total length of the shank will be about 2-3/8".

Installation note: On a fridge there are generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling. This is a Chrome Plated Brass unit.

Does the Job but spend the extra money on stainless.

The product is fine quality and I love MoreBeer and the customer support they offer. I bought 2 of these several years ago. After finally getting my kegerator assembled I used these for a little over a year at which point I disassembled the whole setup for a thorough cleaning. At this time I discovered that the chrome plating was coming off of one of the shanks where it screws onto the faucet. In the future I will be spending the extra money on full stainless shanks which should last a lifetime as opposed to as little as only a year. Cheers
