I added a second pump to my system to make transferring the wort easier. now my only problem is stepping over all the hoses. I have to organize a bit better.

Works amazing when primed but if using a larger herms coil pressure isn't that great. Overall it gets the job done and was relatively inexpensive compared to other pumps available.

This was my first foray into using a pump to home brew and it does everything I need it to do. Using the SS Brewtech whirlpool accessory it was a snap to do 20 a minute continuous whirlpool and push wort through a plate chiller into the fermenter. Being able to adjust the output flow is very nice when going to the fermenter.

Reliable durable great construction. Bought just one initially for my system. Liked it so much that I bought two more for the kettle whirlpool and wort chiller transfer. The compact size makes for easy storage. Impressed really does give my 7.5 gallon stainless system a nice professional touch.

So worth it. I used to try to lift hot kettles full of water for sparging. This makes it easy safe and fast. I also use the same pump for recirculation and pumping pbw through my HERMS coil after brewing. Probably the single most helpful item in my setup

Just recently started using a new system and added the chugger pump.The pump works great and has no problem doing what. I want it to do.I had to take it apart to clean it with no problems very easy to do.

Made the brew day much easier.

Seems durable fairly quiet easy to clean.

Super easy to use! The key is using gravity to your benefit and making sure there’s liquid in the hose when you start.

I am so glad I finally picked this up. It has cut my brew times down along with the mess and frustration.

I received a chugger as a gift. It was new in the box. when I set it up it leaked. I changed the head with my other chugger and it worked fine. I'm mixed on Chuggers. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine because I was not happy. How did it leak on day one? I even siphoned through the head and it leaked with almost no pressure. Thankfully I purchased this from Morebeer who made it right like they always do. 5 stars for morebeer and 1 star for my chugger. I also read another review where his pump leaked and he gave it 5 stars after fixing the oring/gasket. If it is new you should not have to do any repairs at all. I will say that my other chugger kicks ass all the time. so a i will average my stars at 3.

Leaked initially on stainless steel head. Got a new gasket and stopped leaking and works great now.

I gotta say this pump takes homebrewing to the next level! I used it to brew a DIPA with lots of whirlpool additions and I gotta say I was impressed! It's quiet great output flow and easy to use. I used this to re-circulate the mash and pumped water from the HLT to fly sparge. The clarity of the wort into the kettle was the clearest I've ever seen. Whirlpooling was a breeze and then pumped the boiled wort into the conical. It made the brewday a breeze! Great product highly recommend to any homebrewer who wants to get rid of the gravity stage set-up.

It's solid and it moves liquid uphill. I only wish it were self-priming.

I have 2 pumps one is for tranfering water hot water and one for moving wort to my 14gal fermanter

This pump really helped my brew day. Gone are the days of having to lift heavy kettles and coolers around full of hot liquid so I could have gravity do the work. This pump makes quick work of transferring. Works great with the immersion chillers with whirlpool arms. I also suggest setting up your pump with the stainless quick connect fittings. Good quality pump east to clean well worth the money.

These are great pumps! Definitely get the stainless heads though. The plastic ones just don't last.

I am very happy with this purchase! This pump works great and can move any temperature liquids I have needed it too. My only issue is that it sometimes trips out when pumping at high rates but it rarely happens and is easily fixed by restarting the pump.

Would buy again and again and again. My back is happy.

I found out the hard way that it's necessary to clean these right after use (which is NOT a knock on the pump). I was in a hurry one time and forgot to purge this after use. The next time I went to use it I noticed some crud in it and took the head apart. Disgusting. In cleaning it I stretched the little o-ring inside out of shape and had to get a new one. I can vouch that the March pump replacement o-ring works for the Chugger. With that little word of caution to the lazy brewer I am 100% happy with this product.

on a 10 gallon system a pump saves a lot of lifting! I've used this pump for 25+ brews over the last few years and it is solid. The pump heads is easy to use and clean. The first few times it can be a struggle to get the liquid to the pump head to prime it but you get the hang of it quickly. Connecting 1/2 silicone tubing speeds up the through put!

When I looked online at most of the pumps I was shocked by the price and finally settled on this one after much deliberation. Not only does thing save your back - this thing is a work horse for my rig as I run e-herms. No way I could run a batch with out it!

Best Pump on the market in my opinion. Easy to use Easy to clean not loud and pumps to your hearts content. Buy this pump if you are at that stage of brewing.

I just purchased this anticipating using it for brewing this weekend. I also purchased a coupler for the inlet with a 3/8" hose barb to match the 3/8" barb on the outlet of my pot. But the pump instructions say use 1/2" tubing and fittings for the inlet to avoid cavitation and problems with the pump. I assume the outlet can be of smaller diameter as a ball valve on the outlet is designed to throttle the flow down by restricting the effective outlet diameter. I'll probably switch to 1/2" inlets to be on the safe side. It might be OK with the 3/8" inlet at lower flow rates. Any thoughts? It does pump fast and primes easily. Short cord and no switch brings me to 4*

I had never used a pump before purchasing this one so I have no baseline to compare it to but I was not at all disappointed with its performance upon receipt. It is relatively quiet and flows fast. Takes a little bit to get it primed but once primed you'll never have any issues. I use this for my 1BBL set up and it works fast and efficiently. Glad I went with this pump instead of spending more on a march pump.

We have ours running wort past the pump and through a filter device then through the Blichmann Therminator Chiller and then back up to the top of the boil kettle. It pumps just fine though all that as long as you prime it a little in the begging with a bit of gravity flow down to the pump.

These are great little pumps. Sometimes they take a little coercion to get primed.

I've owned this pump for over a year now. It still works great. I use this mainly for pushing through my hot rocket then through my plate chiller and it has been a invaluable item to have.

I haven't used it high temp yet but it works great for transfers.
