I ferment and serve without ever transferring my beer off the yeast cake. This is perfect for that! I'll never go back

These are great IF you add a stainless nut to weight down the intake tube AND you adjust the length perfectly. If you screw it up you may lose several pints of beer. Intake tube needs to be heavier. Your nut should be too small to slide up the silicone tubing.

If you keg you need it... especially if you ferment and serve in the same keg...

The floating dip tube is a must have. It lets you get your beer kegged up much sooner and you're always pulling the clearest beer first.

Have only tried once but I can say for sure that it gets your clearest beer first depending on what you have on your keg it will get hazier when you are almost done. Will give it a try on a fermenting vessel.

What a great conversion kit for my kegs! I can dispense from the same vessel that I dry hop. It will pour clean beer all the way until the end.

Worked great when used to ferment an amber ale under pressure in a corny keg. Left only the yeast cake at the bottom of the keg.

This has worked great twice (all the way to the bottom). However for one beer I had to twice open up and re-situate it for some reason as the pickup was not under the surface (keg was about 3/4 and 1/2 full at the time).

drawing from the top of the keg gets me clear beer faster but also eliminates cloudiness from stirring up sediment if I shift a keg around. Was worried about having one more part to clean but it has proved to be trivial... worth it

The "weld" at the ball float broke on the first use. A little Liquid Weld fixed that. As others have noticed the tubing supplied is too stiff and does not flex sufficiently with changing keg level. I replaced it with much more pliable tubing I have in my brewing supplies. Once I made these adjustments the device has been working well. However there is not much that can be done to recover the last few inches of liquid after the ball reaches the bottom. Not a big deal but it is a consideration.

Excellent when bottling beer. Takes it from the top of keg and keeps all the true out of the bottles and gun.

I really like these but the first time I used one the end of the tube was above the liquid so I just got gas & foam. I put a stainless fender washer over the dip tube end between the silicone tube end and the float and it solved the problem.

I've used mine dozens of times and they work very well for pouring a couple of beers. However in high flow/duration situations like filling growers it tends to float too high in the beer and you end up pouring a lot of CO2/foam. This can be fixed by simply shaking the keg but it's a pain in the butt. I've heard of people adding some stainless steel washers to the silicone tube to fix this by pulling the end of the tube a little farther below the surface. I haven't tried this yet but I plan to

I have pretty large hands so it was a bit tight to reach inside the keg and get the silicon tubing over the dip tube. Highly recommend installing before you sanatize the keg.

I bought this as I'm conditioning beer in the keg and this will keep the tube out of the sludge though there isn't much.

It's a silicon tube with a float. Good job.

As the name states the dip tube floats near the top of the keg. It doesn't lay around in the muck at the bottom of the keg. The first beer is clear and so is the last.. They are in all my kegs!

I get clear beer all the way to the bottom. I use one in my fermenter. that way when I pressure transfer to the keg The beer is clear going in.

Best idea for clear beer easy to use

I had some dry hop debris in my keg that was clogging my dip tube. I installed this floating dip tube in another keg and transferred my beer with the hop debris to the new keg. The beer is flowing great! No clogs!

I really like the floating dip tube design. The length is perfect for 5 gallon corney and torpedo kegs and a shade too long for the 7 gallon fermzilla fermenter but too long is ok.

This product works great. You will need to remove the out post and remove the dip tube and replace it with the smaller piece they provide. Then all you have to do is attach the ball float to the tubing on one end and connect the silicone tubing to the post on the other end. I have a smaller keg so I had to cut the silicone tubing to properly fit but it was no hassle. Pulls beer from the top and works excellent in tandem with the dip tube filter attachment.

This combined with the filter and the six gal Torpedo kegs has allowed me to do pressure fermentation and closed transfers on my high hopped beers. Make sure you add a spunding valve if you don't already have one.

I bought two to start and have had no issues at all. Nice clear beer with each tap pour. Have since ordered more to convert all of my kegs. A little awkward to install but once it’s installed it works like a champ.

A great solution for my poor racking job. A keg that would repeatedly get clogged due to a heavy dryhop is pouring crystal clear. Will see how it cleans up and holds up overtime but definelty flowing debris free with initial use!

I had a floating dip tube in my fermentor and love it. Anything that helps keep the sediment at the bottom is a most have.
