Home coffee roasters come in three different categories: Stove-top, air-bed, and drum.

1. Stove-top: as the name suggests, go on your stove and you stir the beans with a crank.

2. Air bed roasters: blow super hot air into a chamber and roast or cool the beans based on a timer.

3. Drum roasters: are typically a bit pricier, but are the closest you will come to a pro-roaster on a small scale.
