This Duotight to Female Beer Thread (5/8" BSP) fitting can be used to connect beverage line to faucet shanks instead of a tailpiece, and it's also a convenient option for connecting gas and beverage line to the gas in and bev out on keg couplers. Compatible with EVABarrier 8 mm OD Tubing (D1717 & D1718).

Duotight offers superior quality when compared to other push-in fittings. Their double EPDM O-ring design provides a more complete and reliable seal, protecting against leaks even when tubing is bent around tight corners. They are suitable for both beverage and gas applications, and are pressure rated to 100 psi. Tubing can be released by simply pushing in the collet and pulling the line out. No need for clamps or cutting lines!

This thing is perfect for the use case - a simplified DuoTight connection at the end of a tap shank or on a Sankey keg (I think haven't tried that but the threading should be the same).

It fit the coupler perfectly !!

DuoTight Connectors

The DuoTight fittings are the way to go but with the myriad of sizes for hoses and fittings regulator barb fittings keg line requirements for compessation of PSI metric vs standard and other connector requirements it can be really confusing and over buying will result. It would be nice if there were some standard guide how to employ these fittings but I am glad with the purchase nonetheless.

Works as promised

I upgraded to these and love how simple they are to use. Just make sure you cut the tube going in very square. My first cut has a little bit on an angle and it leaked. I squared it up and it's been perfect.

No complaints..does what its supposed to do

I like them but they are sensitive

First off I love the ease of the Duotight connectors for changing couplers/disconnects if you switch between commercial kegs and ball lock kegs. What I don't like is how easy it is to over-tighten the fittings and cause a hairline crack that eventually leaks gas - whether right away or after some time/pressure.

Love these fittings

Great product. We use these in a Piaggio Ape based mobile bar where lines are often installed and removed same day to support an event. Clean and simple.

Helped w/ foaming

Was having considerable trouble with foaming on my Sanke tap and this along with the new EVA tubing really helped.

These fittings worked much better than what we previously had on our kegerator. Some reviews did not like the fittings but so far I am sold on them.

Makes converting easy

Easy to add for change over to duotight fittings. One less washer to keep track of in my keezer toolkit. So far no leaks.

This is all you need for Intertap faucets if using Duotight fittings.

If you are using Intertap faucets and EVABarrier tubing - this is all you need to source a new tap. I would recommend using the 4mm EVABarrier tubing for product lines (more resistance). One caveat - my experience is this ONLY WORKS with INTERTAP stuff. It MAY work with Nukatap...when I tried it it absolutely would not seal correctly with a Kroma tap. It has little keyway cuts that Intertap faucets work with. Bonus it comes with the seals and Duotight fitting back nut and front flange...all you need is the faucet and EVABarrier tubing plus the matching Duotight FFL connector and a cornelius connector for the product line.

No Hose Clamps

I was nervous about trying these but for the price point decided to go with them. Easy to install right out of the box and works flawlessly. I was not thorough in the first order of these and missed a couple of needed components. Recommend being more careful to get everything needed (in the correct size) the first time.

Great if used correctly

These work really well with the EVA-barrier tubing if you push the tubing in all the way It took a while to figure out how to remove the tubing (the same way you get your fingers out of a Chinese finger trap).

Easy to connect.

Screw this on plug your tubing in and you are done. Nothing could be simpler. I only wish this was available when I first built my keg system as it is very clean and easy.

Will this work with my 1244A Beer Faucet Shank? I am using EVA tubing which will not seal on the barb fitting included.

Will this work with my D1244A Beer Faucet Shank? Would be my answer since EVA tubing will not work with the tail piece barb.

I would think it will work with your shank. I'm using it with my three D1247 4" shanks and it all works fine. I would suggest you use the Push-In Fitting elbow. It makes the routing of the tubing a little easier.

Will the female beer thread Duotight fit a u system Guinness coupler or only the Sankey coupler?

Yes. The threading on this will fit all styles of Sanke coupler.

This is the correct duotight fitting for beer shanks as well as sanke keg couplers commonly referred to as "Beer Thread".

I want to use these in my keezer build. what size shanks should I buy to go through 2x4 leaving enough room to connect these?

I'm building one now 1" exterior face of nice wood 2" collar 2" pink foam 1/2" plywood inside. So about 4.5 actual thickness. But I bought 8 inch shanks because....well why not. More thermal mass in the shank to hold the cold.

There is another consideration. The extra shank length will store the cold from inside your keezer. This will help keep your first pour to be a little less foamy. Extra length is not a bad thing. I have a sandwich of 1/2" foam and 3/4" hardwood with the 4 inch shanks - works great.

I have a 2x6 collar insulated with a 2in pink insulation at the shank is 4" with plenty of room for the duotight coupler

If you are going through the 2" side of the board then you will be fine with using the 3.5 or 4 inch shank. There will be plenty of space for the lock nut and the tube fitting.

I am personally unfamiliar with the tubing you’re going to use. If the OD is 5/16” and you have a straight cut push your tubing in until it totally stops. Run a leak test using water. If you need to remove the tubing the Duotight fitting will release with pressure applied to the circular collar where the tubing is inserted and a firm pull on the tubing. If the duotight fitting on your particular tubing leaks I recommend what I use and got on on this website EVABarrier 8mm tubing D1717 or D1718.

I have this same tubing and duotight fittings. While technically yes I have had issues. The bev seal tubing is very rigid and often times somewhat flattened/deformed from being rolled. I can manage to get the tubing into the fitting but removal for me was a monumental effort. I’d just spend the $17 and get a roll EVABarrier tubing instead. You’ll hate yourself less for doing so.

Yes the 3/16" I'd tubing is 5/16" od. Warning: this tubing is very stiff so be sure it has plenty of clearance or you will have leaks from stressing the fitting to tubing joint. eg tight turns hitting something in your fridge etc.

It’s the outer dimension (OD) not the ID that will tell you. You should be able to look up the specs for that tubing to find the OD or find the wall thickness and add it to ID for a good (not perfect) estimate of OD. I’ve found that the only tubing I had that fit the duotight fittings was the stuff sold alongside it but OD should tell you. Problem is that some measurements are really mm converted to inches or vice-versa and those rarely line up well.

Can this be used with a 2" shank in a draft tower? The current shanks are the Intertap ones with permanent 90 degree barbs and I am hoping to convert entirely to the Duotight fittings.

The threads on the 2'' shank are 5/8'' BSP threads so the DUO104 unfortunately will not be compatible. However we will be offering the short tower shanks that have Duotight compatible barbs very soon!

This is supposed to fit a faucet shank. Is the size listed incorrectly? My faucet shanks are 7/8" which I thought was standard.
