I really like these grinders. Although the outside is plastic, the grinders are beefy. And I was surprised by the quality of the grind. It really is adjustable and will go from very fine to very course. I expected the grind to be kind of flimsy as I turned the handle, but the grinder is built solidly and the crank turns evenly and smoothly. It does take a bit of time to get your coffee ground so I wouldn't recommend using this for your every day morning cup of coffee, but you can bet that I bought one of the smaller of the two models we offer for hiking and business trips. The real advantage of this model is that it is tiny - take a look at the picture with the pen next to it. The handle comes off and stores inside the unit which makes it even smaller. You just can't beat its convenience!
