Indian Monsooned Malabar Monsooned coffees are left out in the monsoon for an entire season - which imparts a very distinct and unique flavor to the coffee. Think fresh pipe-tobacco, heavy chocolate and fresh leather. Very distinct and intense - but certainly not for everyone. These coffees are great in espresso as they bring a heavy crema to the shot. In flavor, I get the typical monsooned flavor/character, which is spice, fresh pipe tobacco, pepper and sweet/fresh leather (like a new leather jacket).
