Tasting Notes from The Coffee Guy: In aroma I get lemon and vanilla with a background of nuttiness. In flavor, I get all sorts of exotic flavors..this coffee is really cool! There is a distinct dried coconut and red grape character. I've never encountered that combination in a coffee before, but hey, here it is! There is also a vanilla and brown sugar in the flavor. Light+ acidity and medium body. The aftertaste fades to red grapes and wine. Wild! Find similar coffees! Design your own blend with this coffee! Recommended Roast Level(s): * Run your mouse over the roast chart for more detail * Roasting Notes: At a Full City Roast brewed as a drip cup, I get a medium acidity and medium+ body. Lots of vanilla, tea and grapes. The acidity dominates just a bit too much at this roast level though and it throws off the balance. Your best bet is just a bit darker. At a French Roast brewed as a drip cup, I get hit with lots of grape character in flavor - very unique and pleasant! The light acidity adds a nice brightness to the cup and there is a nice full body to cushion the flavors in the cup. I get nice sweetness that lingers into the aftertaste - very clean overall cup. At a Full City Roast brewed as an espresso, I get raspberry character and some grape notes - but the tart electric brightness comes in and dominates the cup. Take this guy a bit darker for sure! At a French Roast brewed as an espresso, I get really nice red grape notes and slight nuttiness in the aroma. In flavor, I get really interesting raspberry notes and red grape character that continues into the aftertaste. There is a nice balance and great fruit finish to the shot. The acidity has a nice tart character to it that is sweet, crisp and juicy all at the same time. Very nice! | |||||||||
