Tasting Notes from The Coffee Guy: In aroma I get sweet fruit with a slight earthy/spicy edge. In flavor, there is earth complementing very heavy chocolate notes. In the background there is a nice sweetness, hazelnut notes a bit of roastiness; overall very round and unique. This Kalosi is more like a Sumatra than a Sulawesi with the earth notes but then again, the island of Sulawesi is just a hop away from Sumatra. This is a great find. Find similar coffees! Recommended Roast Level(s): * Run your mouse over the roast chart for more detail * Roasting Notes: At Full City, full bright sweet vanilla with chocolate and hints of earthiness. Nice Light+ acid. The sweetness to the cup is really nice. At a French Roast, spice and oak notes appear and enhance the light earthiness in the cup, complementing it well. The acid is barely perceptible and the body is medium+ and very full. | |||||||||
