Indonesian Half Decaf Blend Lots of people blend their decafs with normal coffee to make something with a slightly intense jump start of caffeine. We've made it a bit easier on you with this new MoreCoffee! exclusive blend. We blended two excellent types of coffee, decaf and normal to create a coffee with all the complexity and flavor you'd expect from an Indonesian blend, but with less caffeine. Note: This coffee is made up of two types of coffee - decaf and non-decaf. As such, the coffees will roast slightly differently. At a Full City roast, the decaf coffee will be slightly lighter. At a French Roast for the regular beans, the decaf will just be finishing the Full City. Keep this in mind when you look at the final roast and see some unevenness. There is nothing wrong - that's how it's supposed to be! Download Indonesian Half Decaf Blend Info PDF for your notes! Click here to compare this coffee with another of our coffees! Tasting Notes from The Coffee Guy: In aroma there is rich spice, nice earthiness and full fruit. In flavor, I get earth, sweet vanilla, chocolate with a nice citric dimension. As the flavors fade, a nice pineapple fruit characteristic lingers on the palate. Light+ brightness give this coffee a nice brightness without overdoing it and the medium body lends great fullness to the flavors. Find similar coffees! Design your own blend with this coffee! A light but bright acid shines through well with nice chocolate notes and a slight lemon and apricot edge. Very nice. At a French Roast+, the complexity lessens with only a slight earthiness - but slightly more chocolate sweetness. A simpler cup, but slightly cleaner in flavor profile. This coffee is nice at either roast, but I kind of like the lighter roast a little more. In an Full City espresso, the earthiness comes through nicely - with honey and chocolate in the background, as well. There is a nice tanginess with fruit too. Very nice. At French Roast espresso, there is more of a roastiness to the cup but with heavy chocolate, slightly less complexity in flavor with a brandy edge and nice spice notes. | |||||||||
