Komodo Blend (SWP Decaf), Fair Trade / Organic This Fair Trade and Organic coffee is a blend of coffees from several different continents - each specifically chosen for the attributes it lends to the cup. It is made up of Indonesian Sumatra which lends body and rich earthen and chocolate flavors, Ethiopian Harrar which adds sweetness, spice and lemon, and finally Honduras which enhances the sweet chocolate in the cup and lends brightness. This coffee is decaffeinated using the Organic Swiss Water Process - completely chemical free and which uses a similar process to the Mexican Water Process. This coffee blend will do well in an espresso blend with nice depth, complexity and balance - and the complexity in the final espresso coming out well. Tasting Notes from The Coffee Guy: In the aroma, I get nice lemon notes with a hint of rich earthiness. There is a nice light+ tanginess to the brightness with a nice and full body. In flavor I get nice spice notes with chocolate and hints of lemon. A nice sweetness comes through in the cup with hints of rich earthiness. The aftertaste fades into a nice sweetness.
