Nicaragua SHG EP Nicaragua is nestled in between both Costa Rica and El Salvador and as such, you will notice similarities in cup profiles between these coffees. Most "Nic's" will have a nice vibrant acid with a fair degree of fruited complexity in the cup. The flavors will be brisk and clean, which is what you want. This coffee comes from the 5 de Junio Co-op and they did a very nice job this season. We were pleasantly surprised with the depth of this coffee and we're sure you will be too! Tasting Notes: This cup displayed typical Central American sweet and spicy aroma - with specific notes of pineapple and black pepper. The flavor adds in a nuttiness and buttery mouthfeel that just make this coffee a pleasure to drink. Balanced with tight med.+ acidity, and a clean finish - this is really good stuff! Recommended Roast Level(s): * Run your mouse over the roast chart for more detail * Roasting Notes: This coffee will be nice at a lighter roast and have a raw sort of sweetness, but the acidity will be a bit much. I'd take it a couple seconds into second crack to develop a more caramelly sweetness and a bit of extra body. | |||||
